鼓岭郑家别墅

位于晋安区鼓岭后浦楼（现鼓岭教堂西南侧），为在永泰的美部会传教士郑牧师（Rev. F. F. G. Donaldson）别墅；根据1907年《鼓岭手册》和1897年鼓岭地图，可能原为美以美会女传教士斯特罗（E. M. Strow）的避暑别墅。别墅为单层石木结构，建设在山坡上，背靠山体以抵御台风；东南侧房间呈半圆形凸出，为福州近代西式建筑的常见做法。 福州老建筑百科（fzcuo.com）

建筑始建年代不详。在1895年的鼓岭地图上，本建筑已经存在，故建筑年代应不晚于1895年。

1904年，纽约新泽西的传教士斯特罗女士（Miss Elizabeth M. Strow）受美以美会指派到福州传教，服侍12年后被派往上海。本建筑在此期间可能均作为她的度假别墅使用。

斯特罗女士调离后，本建筑为郑牧师（Rev. F. F. G. Donaldson）所有。这与鼓岭教堂的阮水珠女士、黄时敬牧师的回忆相匹配（“郑家别墅”）。

1. 斯特罗女士（Miss Elizabeth M. Strow）
   
   美以美会传教士，出生于美国纽约的新泽西，1904年受美以美会Emory church派遣前往福州传教，归属于外国女差会（Woman's Foreign Missioary society）。在福州服侍12年后，她被调至上海，成为美以美会外国女差会在上海的第一位司库（treasurer）。1946年，她获美以美会Emory church颁发荣誉，以奖励她在传教事业上的贡献。详见参考资料。

2. 郑牧师（Rev. Frederick Frow Goodline Donaldson）
   
   Frederick Frow Goodhue Donaldson, fourth child and third son of the Rev. Levi Judson and Margarette Elizabeth (Frow) Donaldson, was born Feb. 24, 1886, at Oberlin, Ohio.

   He lived for seven years at Charleston, Ohio, where his father was pastor of the Congregational church.
   In 1894, the family removed to Tavares, Florida for the mother's health, and several years later to Demorest, Ga. He received his education at first in the public schools, and later in the preparatory school of Phillips Andover, at Andover, Mass. After leaving this institution he entered Oberlin College, and graduated in June, 1913, with the degree, Bachelor of Arts.

   Immediately after his graduation, he accepted a position with a fruit grower at Cocoanut Grove, Fla.
   June 29, 1916, he sailed from Vancouver for Foochow, China, under appointment as a missionary to that place.
   July 27, 1916, he was married on Kuliang Mountain to Elaine Strang, Oberlin'12. Their address is Ing Tai, Foochow, China.

3. 郑牧师夫人（Miss Elaine Strang）
   Miss Strang was born in Michigan. Her father is an ordained clergyman and is now principal of the American Missionary Association school at Kings Mountain, N. C. 福州老建筑百科（fzcuo.com）
   During a two years’ course in Wheaton College, Illinois, Miss Strang supported herself and also during a two years’ course in Oberlin College, from which she was graduated in 1911. Miss Strang goes out under the Woman’s Board of Missions of the Interior, and it is expected will teach in kindergarten.
